Bourbon & Belly Laughs

  • Mystic Farm and Distillery 1413 Stallings Road Durham, NC, 27703 United States (map)

Join us Friday, May 2nd at Mystic Farm & Distillery for live stand up comedy with host, comedian Gerry Potoka. Doors open at 6, the first act will begin at 7 pm. Tickets are $10, and all guests must be 21+. Don’t miss out on a night of delicious spirits and lots of belly laughs!

Line Up:

Host: Gerry Potoka started stand-up comedy because being a public educator just isn’t quite entertaining enough. Transplanting from Richmond County, North Carolina to Raleigh, Gerry’s personal experiences and perspectives offer a unique portrayal of his day-to-day life, career, thoughts, and feelings. Through performing up and down parts of the East Coast, having worked with Gaspare Randazzo and Sam Salem, featuring on Don’t Tell Comedy shows, as well as performing on and producing shows across North Carolina, Gerry is guaranteed to make you chortle (that is a smart people word for “laugh”).

Feature: Carey James is a stand-up comedian who brings a laid-back charm & sharp observations to the stage, turning his crazy life experiences into big laughs. Based in Durham, NC, he’s had the privilege of opening for Tim Meadows, Nick Mullen, and Andrew Orolfo, and has featured for Jiaoying Summers. With a mix of story telling and sarcasm, Carey’s comedy feels like catching up with an old high-school friend, except a lot less cringe

Headliner: Curt Fletcher has appeared at some of the biggest clubs in the country with some of the biggest names of comedy including; Jim Norton, Kyle Kinane, Harland Williams, T.J. Miller, Carl LaBove, Josh Blue, Chris Porter, Theo Von, Jackie Kashian, Dan Soder, Chris Kattan, and Brian Posehn.  In 2007, he advanced to the semifinals of the HBO Lucky 21 competition.  He has also been selected for the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas, three times and the Laughing Skull Festival in Atlanta.  Curt advanced to the semifinals in the Funniest Person in LA contest in 2016. In 2010, Curt made his television debut on the late night talk show, The After After Party, hosted by Steven Michael Quezada (Breaking Bad).  He appeared on the show four times.  He also appeared on The Morning Brew with Friends.  He was also a writer for the AVN Awards on Showtime in 2014. Curt released his debut comedy album, Yukon Cornelius Sings the Blues, in August 2019. He also hosts In The Wry Podcast with Curt Fletcher and co-hosts Stop Stalling Podcast with Tim Gaither. His comedy special, Ginger Snaps is available on YouTube.
