Line Up:
HOST:
Gerry Potoka started stand-up comedy because being a public educator just isn’t quite entertaining enough. Transplanting from Richmond County, North Carolina to Raleigh, Gerry’s personal experiences and perspectives offer a unique portrayal of his day-to-day life, career, thoughts, and feelings. Through performing up and down parts of the East Coast, having worked with Gaspare Randazzo and Sam Salem, featuring on Don’t Tell Comedy shows, as well as performing on and producing shows across North Carolina, Gerry is guaranteed to make you chortle (that is a smart people word for “laugh”).
FEATURE:
Deborah Aronin comic and producer who has performed for over 10 years across North Carolina and beyond. Her unique brand of edgy comedy has shared the stage with comics such as Todd Barry and Beth Stelling. Sometimes shocking, sometimes silly, she never fails to entertain." That's in quotes because another comedian wrote it about her. I'm a woman on a mission to entertain and express myself. Whether it's through stand up comedy, producing a show, music, art, cosplay, or writing. My mother says I'm getting better.
HEADLINER:
Brent Blakeney is a larger than life comedian. Seriously, he is almost too big to exist in polite society. With a background in High School theater, which obviously makes him more confident than it should, Brent has spent the last decade touring the country and perfecting his craft.
Brent has been seen in clubs and colleges across this nation. He was a winner of Kenan Thompson's Nationwide "Road to NYC" contest, which allowed him to perform at the historic Caroline's on Broadway in NYC. He has been a part of many comedy festivals, where Brent was voted "Best of Fest" at the SLO Comedy Festival in San Luis Obispo, California.
