Every time Mystic Farm and Distillery makes a batch of bourbon from the corn and wheat we grow in Hillsborough, we have over 10,000 pounds of spent mash left over. The spent mash is incredibly nutritious livestock feed. For the past few years we’ve been providing it to Scott Thigpen to feed his cattle on his farm in Beulaville. Now the process comes full circle as we begin selling this mash-fed beef.
